The EPUB book is an open source e-book format that allows users to download to the device. EPUB files are often not compatible with proprietary e-readers like Amazon's Kindle. EPUB file usually has 2 small files, file.zip contains data and XML file describing data in file.zip. You can open EPUB files by converting the format or downloading a compatible reader.

Steps

Method 1 of 10: EPUBReader on Firefox

   Download the EPUB Reader add-on on Firefox. If you read books while surfing the web then using this free add-on is most suitable. Go to addons.mozilla.org and look for EPUB Reader.

Method 5 of 10: Icecream Ebook Reader on Windows

   Download and install Icecream Ebook Reader from the official website.

   Run the program to read the e-book file. You can drag the file to read into the program window or press the button “Add book to your library to start reading button”. This lets you open Windows Explorer so you can access the file's location on your computer.

Method 6 of 10: Caliber on Windows

   Visit Caliber's official website and download the software to your device.

   After starting the software, you will see the Caliber Welcome interface, you can choose the language and location of adding e-books on Caliber.

   In the next step, you will choose an e-book device. In case you cannot find your device's name in the list, select “Generic”.

   Download Aldiko Book Reader on Google Play and start the application on Android device.

   Click “Convert File Now” or use a browser if possible. Find the file on your computer.
