In the role-playing game Pokémon Red and Blue, players can choose the character Bulbasaur as the starting Pokemon. However, in the role-playing game Pokémon Yellow, you can only choose the character Pikachu. No problem, you can win Bulbasaur after that. Read the following tutorial to learn how to take that character!

Steps

1. 

   Go to Cerulean city. First, go to Cerulean city. This is the first place you go after passing Mt. Moon (Moon Mountain). The Gym Leader of this region is the character Misty.

   Leave room for the Bulbasaur character. Make sure you leave a blank space in your squad at all times. If there are no slots, you can send a Pokemon to the computer (PC) in Cerulean's Pokemon center (Cerulean's Pokémon Center).

   Always make the character Pikachu happy. You can turn to Pikachu and talk to it by pressing the "A" button. You will see a smiley face on Pikachu's head when it is taken care of. If not, there are a few simple ways to help you make it happy:
   • Using items (Items) for Pikachu character, for example using a health potion (Health potion) even though Pikachu is full of blood. You may need to use the potion several times to make it happy.
   • Help Pikachu increase one level (Level). This way also makes it happy.
   • Challenging a battle with a gym leader also makes Pikachu happy.
   • Avoid letting Pikachu faint or else Pikachu's happiness level will decrease.
   • Remember that sending Pikachu into a box will slightly decrease Pikachu's happiness level.

   Go to Melanie's house (Melanie's house). Now head straight to the house next to the Pokemon Center. You will see Melanie and a character Bulbasaur. Come over and talk to Melanie. She will say that she is the one taking care of Pokemon.

   Get the character Bulbasaur. She will realize that you take good care of the character Pikachu. She will ask if you want the Bulbasaur. Answer yes (Yes) and she will allow you to take the Bulbasaur. advertisement

Advice

• You can buy potions (Potion) at PokeMart (Poke Mall).
• If after 5 times of using the item, Pikachu still isn't happy, try 5 more times, and 5 more times ... At some point, Pikachu will feel happy.
• Another way to take the Bulbasaur is to use the in-game Trade feature with Pokémon Red, Blue or Yellow.
