Wash your pants in cold water to remove alcohol or hairspray after the stain fades. Use cold water, as hot water can make remaining ink stick and make it harder to remove.
Apply the stain remover to the ink stain. Depending on the ink, you will need a different stain remover for effective removal. One of the following stain removers can help remove ink stains:
- Apply the stick stain remover to the ink stain
- Spray the stain remover before washing it on the ink stain
- Bleaching products contain oxygen
Make a mixture of baking soda and water. Mix baking soda with water in a 3: 1 ratio to make a thick paste.
Advice
- Try an inconspicuous spot remover on jeans, such as the hem of the pants, to make sure it doesn't discolor or stain more.
- If the Isopropyl alcohol method does not work the first time, you should try again when you turn the pants inside out to draw ink from the inside of the pants.
- Do not soak jeans in hot water or dry them before removing ink stains. High temperature will make ink stick and difficult to remove.
