Snapchat, one of the most popular social networking apps in the world, is even more fun when you have friends to use it with! Adding a friend to your Snapchat contact list is easy.    Save friend information to phone contacts. There are two ways to add friends on the Snapchat app - you can add directly from your phone contacts or search by account name. Method 1 of 2: Add Friends from Phone Contacts

1. Swipe through the "Find Friends" menu. When you open Snapchat, the first screen you'll see will be the camera screen. From here, swipe '.'    Click the "+" button next to each person you want to make friends with. Snapchat will display a list of the people in your phone contacts who are also using Snapchat. Select the gray "+" symbol next to each name to add the person as a Snapchat friend.

Method 2 of 2: Add Friends via Account Name

1. 

   Go to the "Find Friends" screen. This is the screen you saw in the method above - swipe right twice from the capture screen.

   Click on the microscope icon. It will open a text box. Enter the Snapchat account name of the person you want to add (remember to enter it correctly) and press "OK" or press the microscope icon (it may differ depending on the phone) to start searching.

   Make friends with anyone who has added friends on the "Find Friends" screen. If you don't enter anything in the search box at the top of the "Find Friends" screen, you'll see a list of Snapchat users connected to you. Anyone who has befriended you (but you have not yet made a friend) will have a gray "+" symbol next to that person's name. Click this icon to add friends to the person you want.
