When you finally have a horse in Minecraft, you may be satisfied with it for a while. But what if your friend needs one too, or if yours is injured? Then you need to start a ranch and breed more horses.

To step

1. Have 2 adult horses that have not bred in the past 5 minutes.
2. Take 2 golden apples or 2 golden carrots.
   • You can make golden apples or carrots by surrounding a carrot with gold nuggets or gold bars on a workbench.
3. Give both horses a golden apple or golden carrot.
4. Wait about a minute. Leave them alone.
5. Enjoy your new foal.
   • Give the foal golden apples to make it grow faster.

Tips

• You don't have to feed both parents the same thing - you can also give one an apple and the other a carrot!
• Foals usually follow their parents, so be careful not to put them in danger.
• A foal is an adult horse in 20 minutes.
• The new horse is not yet tame. If you want to keep it, you have to tame it when it matures.
• You can also give the foal wheat, then it will grow a little bit.
• The foal will be the same color as one of the parents.
• If you cross a horse with a donkey you get a mule.
