If using the eyelash clip alone doesn't make your lashes look the way you want them to look, you can warm up the clips to make them longer and curl. Normally, you will clip your eyelashes after you have finished your makeup, whether you use a normal eyelash clip or an electric eyelash clip or use a battery, heating the clip is easy and effective.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Warming Normal Eyelash Clamp

1. 

   Clean the clamp with soap and water. Rub makeup remover or soap (especially for sensitive skin) over the pads and metal parts with a rag or cotton pad to remove any cosmetics. Then wash off the soap with water.
   • If a cosmetic sticker is on the pad, your mascara will lump on your lashes.

   Use a hair dryer to heat the eyelash clips. Point the tail at the hairdryer for 10-20 seconds. Choose a dryer with a small dryer head and always direct the fuser to the clamp of the eyelash clamp. Then let the lash clip cool down a bit for easy handling.
   • When touching the metal part of the eyelash clip, pay attention because they are often very hot and easily burn the skin.

   Dip the eyelash clip in hot water if you don't have a hairdryer. After dipping the eyelash clip in water for about 10-20 seconds, leave it outside to support the hot clamp.

   Try to see if the lash clip is hot on the back of your hand. Hold the clamp in hand for about 3-5 seconds, if the clamp is too hot, wait 10-20 seconds and then try again.
   • If the clip is too hot for your skin, don't use it on your lashes, wait for the clip to cool.

   Bending lashes. Gently curl the lids of each eye 2-3 times, starting from the inside out so that the lids appear naturally curled.

Method 2 of 2: Use the Electric Eyelet Clamp or the battery

1. 

   Clean the eyelash clamp with rubbing alcohol. To be safe, turn off the power clamp and then pour the alcohol on a cotton pad and wipe off the clamp, especially any areas with cosmetics that will touch the lashes.
   • Do not use soap and water. Letting the eyelashes get wet will damage the clamp.

   Prepare the necessary tools for the eyelash clamp. If the eyelash clamp is battery-operated, check if the battery is working. If you are using the power cord, remember to plug it in to start using it.
   • Most battery clamps use 3 A (AAA) batteries.

   Follow the instruction manual to turn on the battery grip. Some battery clips require you to hold the "On" button until the clamp is hot to the temperature you want, but for most eyelashes, you just need to turn the switch.

   Wait for the clamp to cool. Before using the eyelash clip, hold it on the back of your hand, if it is too hot, wait 10-20 seconds, then try again.
