League of Legends is a very popular game designed to run on various computer systems.While this allows many people to play the game, hardware-related issues can also cause many problems with the game. If League of Legends crashes frequently, there are many different ways you can try to fix it - from updating your drivers to restoring the game files.

Method 1 of 3: Fix a game that crashes

1. Update your video card drivers. The driver (a driver) of a video card is the software that allows your graphics card to communicate with your computer. If your drivers are not updated, they can cause the game to crash. Updating your drivers can also improve performance while playing the game.

3. Install the .Net Framework. This is a Microsoft software library required for League of Legends. By manually installing version 3.5 it may be possible to get League of Legends working again. Even if you have 4.0 installed, you may still need to install 3.5.

4. Use League of Legends recovery tool to restore your game files. League of Legends includes a tool to rebuild your game files, which may eliminate file corruption issues.
   • Open the League of Legends launcher.
   • Click on the gear to open the settings menu.
   • Click the "Repair" button. The recovery process takes 30-60 minutes.
5. Set the game to low settings. If the graphics settings in the game are too high, you may be demanding too much from your hardware and the game may crash. Set the settings to minimum and see if your game becomes more stable. If so, you can increase the settings one by one until you have found a good balance between stability and graphics.

6. Reinstall League of Legends and / or Windows. It could be that a virus or other malware is causing your game to crash. Method 2 of 3: Fix a black screen

1. Open the configuration panel of your video card. A black screen is most likely caused by incorrect video card anti-aliasing settings.
   • You can open the configuration panels of Nvidia and AMD cards by right clicking on the Desktop.
2. Fix Nvidia cards anti-aliasing. If you have an AMD / ATI card, proceed to the next step.
   • Select "Manage 3D Settings".
   • Select the General Settings tab.
   • Click the drop-down menu next to "Anti-Aliasing Settings" and select "OFF".
3. Fix anti-aliasing for AMD / ATI cards.
   • Click the "Advanced" button.
   • Open the "3D" entry in the "Graphics Settings" tab.
   • Select the option "Anti-Aliasing".
   • Check the box "Use program settings".

Method 3 of 3: Fix the Launcher Launcher

1. Open Windows Explorer. If the League of Legends launcher won't start, you can delete its files and they'll be downloaded automatically when you run Launcher again.
2. Go to .C: Riot Games League of Legends RADS projects’’.
3. Delete the folder.lol_launcher.
4. Start the Launcher as you normally would. The launcher will then download the necessary files again, after which you can restart the game.
