Make a great wind chime from some old wine bottles. This is perfect if you want to recycle the bottles and have something beautiful to hang on your patio or in your garden.

To step

  1. Collect some empty wine bottles. You need at least 3 bottles.
  2. Remove the labels.
  3. Wash the bottles.
  4. Grab a glass cutter and scratch around the bottle. Use a clamp to help you cut straight.
  5. Cut 3 bottles in half and sand the sharp edges so you can't cut them.
  6. Take 3 corks.
  7. Buy 20 millimeter brackets.
  8. Buy a jewelry chain that is at least two feet long.
  9. Screw a hook at the top of the cork.
  10. Attach the chain to the hook.
  11. Push the cork back into the bottle.
  12. Repeat these steps for the other bottles.
    • You should have 3 bottles.
  13. Get a metal earring or other piece of jewelry for the bottom and last bottle of the wind chime.
  14. Attach the earring to the chain. The wind chime will now make a sound when the wind blows into it.
  15. Add more accessories to the end of the chain if you wish.
  16. Gently tie the three bottles together.
  17. Hang the wind chime in a place where the wind is blowing and listen to the relaxing sound the chime makes.
