This article will teach you how to create a payment link for PayPal to send to your friends or customers (or to share on social media) so that you can receive a payment.

Method 1 of 2: On a desktop

1. Open PayPal. Go to https://www.paypal.com/ in your browser.
2. Log in if necessary. If your PayPal page does not open automatically, click "Login" in the top right corner of the page, enter your email address and password and click "Login". Then you can click on "My PayPal" in the top right corner to open your page.
3. click on Send & Request. This tab is at the top of the page.
4. Click on the tab To request. This is near the top of the "Send & Request" page.
5. click on Share your PayPal.Me. This link is on the right side of the page. This will open a window with your PayPallink.
6. Copy your PayPallink. You will see a PayPallink under your profile picture near the top of the window. Click on this link with the cursor of your mouse to select it. Then press either Ctrl+C. (Windows) or ⌘ Command+C. (Mac) to copy the link.
7. Paste the link where you want to share it. Go to your social media page, your email inbox, or any place where you want to paste the link, click on the text field you want to use and press Ctrl+V. or ⌘ Command+V.. The link will appear there.
   • You can continue to post or send the link depending on where you pasted the link (for example, if you are using an email service, you will need to enter the recipient's email address and then press the 'Send' button ).

Method 2 of 2: Mobile

1. Open PayPal. Tap the PayPal app icon. This resembles a white "P" on a dark blue background. If you are logged in, this will open your PayPal page.
   • When prompted to login, enter your email address and password and press "Login" before continuing.
   • If you are using an iPhone or Android with fingerprint identification, you may be asked to scan this instead of entering your password.
2. Press To request. This is a tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Press Share your link to get paid. This option is near the top of the screen. This will open a menu of apps you can use to share your PayPallink.
4. Select an app. Tap the app you want to use to share the link. This will open the app with your link in the "Share" field.
   • For example, if you want to send your PayPallink to a friend via text message, you have to press the icon of the Messages app on your phone. This will open the Messages app with your PayPallink in the text field.
5. Enter the information of your contact if necessary. For example, if you share your link via a text message or email, you will need to enter the information of the contact (or group of contacts) to whom you are sending the link.
   • Skip this step if you share the link on social media.
6. Send or post your link. Once you have added the necessary information to the link, you must press the "Send" or "Post" button to share the link.

Tips

• You can use HTML to create a link if you want to add your PayPal payment link to your website.

Warnings

• PayPal may deduct a processing fee from payments sent through your link, depending on the type of account you have.
