This wikiHow teaches you how to delete messages you sent in Discord on an Android device.

Part 1 of 2: Deleting private messages

1. Open Discord. That's the purple-blue icon with a gamepad image. You will find the icon on your main screen or in the app overview.
2. Tap ☰. You will find this button at the top left of your screen.
3. Select a friend under "Personal Messages". In this section you will find all personal conversations with your friends.
4. Long tap the message you want to delete. A new menu will then appear.
5. Tap Delete. This removes the message from the conversation.

Part 2 of 2: Deleting messages in a channel

1. Open Discord. That's the purple-blue icon with a gamepad image. You will find the icon on your main screen or in the app overview.
2. Tap ☰. You will find this button at the top left of your screen.
3. Select a server. Go to the server where the channel you want to delete a message from is.
4. Select the channel.
5. Tap on ⁝. You will find this button at the top right of your screen. A new menu will then appear.
6. Tap Search.
7. Choose the search option "from:". Enter your username and tap the magnifying glass. In this way you search within the channel for messages that you have sent.
8. Tap the message you want to delete.
9. If you don't automatically get to the correct message, tap Go to chat. You can find this button at the bottom of your screen.
10. Go to the message you want to delete.
11. Long tap on the message. A new menu will now appear.
12. Tap Delete. The message will now be removed from the channel.
