With Groupon, you can buy offers as gifts for local services, outings, events or products (unless stated otherwise in the fine print). You can send a Groupon offer to anyone and even add a personal message in just a few steps.

To step

1. Go to the Groupon website. Type "www.groupon.com" into your web browser or click here to visit Groupon.com.
2. Log in to your Groupon account. Click on "Sign Up" in the top right corner of the website and enter your account information.
   • If you don't have a Groupon account, click on "Sign Up" to create one. You will be asked to enter your new account information.
3. Click on a deal you want to give as a gift. Navigate the site's list of deals until you find an offer you want to give to someone.
   • You can find deals by browsing the many recommended category menus at the top of the website or by using the search bar at the top of the page to find something more specific.
4. Click on the desired deal. A new page will appear with information about the deal.
   • Some featured deals appear at the top of the homepage and on every category page. To view these deals, click on them or click on the "View Deal" button.
5. Click on the "Give as a present" button. The "Give as a gift" button is located on the right side under the green "Buy" button.
   • Not all Groupon offers are available to give as gifts.
   • Often times, a deal has several options. For example, a purchase of tickets to a sports game has options that correspond to where the seats are. Make sure to select the correct option you want to gift before proceeding.
6. Send a personalized card. A popup window will appear with the option to send a personalized card to the gift recipient.
7. Enter the recipient information. Enter his or her name, email address, and a short message for the recipient in the corresponding fields.
8. Click on "Proceed to Checkout". The button "Proceed to checkout" is at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to the payment page.
   • You can print the personalized card and voucher by selecting "Print" at the top of the window. Enter your desired message. After you have completed your order, go to "My Groupons" under your account name in the top right corner of the screen. A printable PDF is available corresponding to your purchased deal.
9. Enter your payment information. Enter your credit or debit card information in the corresponding text fields.
10. Place your order. Click the green "Place order" button on the right side of the screen to place your order.
11. Check your email for the order confirmation. After your order has been processed, you will receive a confirmation letter.
    • Groupon will email your gift to the recipient with instructions on how to use it. You will also receive a confirmation email once the Groupon offer has been delivered.
    • If you would like to view, change or check the status of your order, you can do so by clicking the "My Groupons" link on the confirmation page.

Tips

• While the price of Groupon offers is not explicitly stated to the recipient, certain deals, such as special third party custom orders, may show the price.
• To purchase a Groupon offer for yourself and another as a gift, you must place two separate orders.
• You cannot currently gift Groupon through the mobile app.
