This wikiHow teaches you how to find the URL of a Facebook profile, page, or group on an iPhone or iPad. On an iPhone, you can use the Facebook app to find a Facebook URL. On an iPad you can also use the Facebook app, but only for the URL of Facebook pages or groups. If you want to find the URL of a personal Facebook profile on an iPad, use the mobile browser.

Method 1 of 4: Get the URL of a personal Facebook profile on an iPhone

1. Open the Facebook app. This is the blue icon with a small white "f". Many people have this icon on the home screen.
2. Go to the Facebook profile whose URL you want to look up. A Facebook profile belongs to an individual, that is, a specific person, and not a company or group. You can find the correct Facebook profile by entering the name of the person whose Facebook profile you want to visit in the search bar at the top of the screen.
   • Tap the profile picture or name of the person you are looking for and go to their profile.
3. Tap on More. This button is on the right side of the page, just below the cover photo. The button can be recognized by the circle with three dots in the middle. When you press the button, a pop-up menu with five options appears.
4. Tap on Copy link to profile. This is the fourth option in the pop-up menu.
5. Tap on OK. This confirms that you want to copy the URL of the Facebook profile and this puts the URL on your clipboard. From the clipboard you can paste the copied URL somewhere else.
6. Paste the URL where you want to use it. You can paste and use the copied URL in different applications, as long as the application allows to write or edit texts. For example, you can place the URL in a Facebook message, in a private message to another person, in an email or in a text file. To paste the URL somewhere, press the text field where the URL should be placed for one to two seconds. A black pop-up will then appear with the option To stick. Once this happens, tap this.

Method 2 of 4: For the URL of a personal Facebook profile on an iPad

1. Go to https://www.facebook.com in a web browser on your iPad. You can use any web browser on your iPad for this, but Safari is the default web browser on an iPad. You can recognize the Safari app by the icon with the blue compass at the bottom of your home screen.
   • If you are not automatically logged in when you open Facebook, please log in with your email address and password. You can see the login screen at the top right of the page.
2. Go to the Facebook profile whose URL you want to look up. A Facebook profile belongs to an individual, that is, a specific person, and not a company or group. You can find the correct Facebook profile by entering the name of the person whose Facebook profile you want to visit in the search bar at the top of the page.
   • Tap the profile picture or name of the person you are looking for and go to their profile.
3. Tap and hold the URL in the address bar for a few seconds. The address bar can be found at the top of the page. Tap and hold the URL for a few seconds. A black pop-up menu will appear with the copy and paste options.
4. Tap on To copy. This copies the URL of the Facebook profile to the clipboard. From the clipboard you can paste the copied URL somewhere else.
5. Paste the URL where you want to use it. You can paste and use the copied URL in different applications, as long as the application allows to write or edit texts. For example, you can place the URL in a Facebook message, in a private message to another person, in an email or in a text file. To paste the URL somewhere, press the text field where the URL should be placed for one to two seconds. A black pop-up will then appear with the option To stick. Once this happens, tap this.

Method 3 of 4: For the URL of a Facebook group

1. Open the Facebook app. This is the blue icon with a small white "f". Many people have this icon on the home screen.
2. Go to the Facebook group whose URL you want to look up. You can find the correct Facebook group by entering the name of the group in the search bar at the top of the page. You can also tap the name of the group if it happens to pop up on your Facebook wall.
3. Tap on ⓘ. Tap the white information button with a small "i" in the middle. This button can be found at the top right of the screen. This will open the information page of the Facebook group.
   • On an iPad, tap the three dots ⋯ which you see at the top right of the screen. Then tap View group information.
4. Tap Share group Tap on Copy link to profile. This option is located near the bottom of the pop-up menu just above the "Cancel" option. This will copy the URL of the Facebook profile to the clipboard of your iPhone or iPad. From the clipboard you can paste the copied URL somewhere else.
5. Paste the URL where you want to use it. You can paste and use the copied URL in different applications, as long as the application allows to write or edit texts. For example, you can place the URL in a Facebook message, in a private message to another person, in an email or in a text file. Method 4 of 4: For the URL of a Facebook page

1. Open the Facebook app. This is the blue icon with a small white "f". Many people have this icon on the home screen.
2. Go to the Facebook page whose URL you want to look up. You can find the correct Facebook page by entering the name of the page in the search bar at the top of the screen and tapping the "Page" filter. This filter is colored blue and can be found at the top of the page.
   • To go to the Facebook page, tap the profile picture or the name of the page in the search results list.
3. Tap share Tap on Copy link to profile. This option can be recognized by the icon of a link chain. This copies the URL of the Facebook profile to the clipboard. From the clipboard you can paste the copied URL somewhere else.
