With Android phones and tablets, you can share not only photos, music and videos, but also applications that you have downloaded. An easy way to send these applications to someone else without needing cables is to use an application that you can download from Google Play.

Part 1 of 2: Download the APK Extractor

1. Open Google Play. To do this, press the Google Play icon on your phone or tablet.
2. Search for the app “APK Extractor.” This is a small free application and can be downloaded right away.
3. Install the app on your tablet or phone. Press "Install" to download the APK Extractor.

Part 2 of 2: Sharing your applications

1. Open the APK Extractor. Once you have installed the app, you can open it directly by pressing the appropriate icon. You will now immediately see all applications and active apps that are currently on your tablet or phone.
2. Select the application you want to share. Keep your finger pressed on the app and wait for a pop-up menu to appear.
3. Select “Send APK” from the list of options.
   • The APK Extractor now converts, extracts and compresses the application into an APK file that you can send.
4. Select “Bluetooth” from the list of file sharing options.
5. Turn on your Bluetooth. If Bluetooth is turned off, you will automatically be asked if you want to turn it on. Press “Turn On” to do this.
   • Do the same with the device you want to send the file to.
   • The Android device you are sending the app with will now try to connect to other devices. Wait until the name of the device you want to send the app to appears, then select this device.
6. Wait for the app receiver to accept the Bluetooth transfer. If the sending is successful, the recipient can open the APK file and install the app.

Tips

• Paid app sharing may not work this way. Sharing paid apps is therefore strongly discouraged.
• You can only share active applications using the above method. If the application is disabled or deactivated, you will not be able to send it with the APK Extractor.
• The duration of the transfer varies based on the format of the APK file and the Bluetooth specifications of your phone or tablet.
