1. 1 Visit crucial.com. Use the proposed utility for analyzing RAM (hereinafter referred to as RAM), or enter the characteristics of your computer manually.

3. 3 When receiving RAM, be careful - only grasp the memory strip by the edges. Try not to touch the metal contacts, otherwise they may be damaged and the RAM will not work.
4. 4 Remove the cover of the system unit. It's easier than you think.
5. 5 Search Google for pictures of your RAM to make sure everything is correct.
6. 6 Open the latches. With sufficient lighting, carefully position and insert the RAM strip into the appropriate slot. Make sure it is flush with the adjacent memory strip.
7. 7 Close the latches, and put on the cover of the system unit. Turn on your computer.
8. 8 You will receive a notification that the system memory has been changed. Click the button to continue (if your BIOS boots in stealth mode and does not display any notifications, you can check the installed memory manually in the BIOS settings).
