Despite the fact that the number of characters is very limited, this is more than enough for many people. They use this app to communicate with their friends, families and even celebrities. If you've never used Twitter, then the first thing you need to do is install it on your phone. Here are the main ways to install Twitter, depending on whether you are using an iPhone or an Android device.

Method 1 of 2: Install Twitter on Your iPhone

1. 1 Open the Apple iTunes store. Find the icon in the list of applications and tap it.
2. 2 Enter "Twitter" in the search bar at the top of the screen.
3. 3 Select the first application that pops up in the list. This will be the official Twitter app.
4. 4 Click Install. As a result, the application will be downloaded, and it's absolutely free!
5. 5 Open the Twitter app from the home screen. Alternatively, you can open it from the Apps section of your mobile phone.
6. 6 Log in to your Twitter account. If you do not have an account, you will need to create one in order to use the newly downloaded application.

Method 2 of 2: Install Twitter on Your Android Phone

1. 1 Open Google Play from the Apps page of your Android device.
2. 2 Type "Twitter" into the search box.
3. 3 Select the first application that pops up in the list. This will be the official Twitter app.
4. 4 Click Install. This app is also free for Android devices.
5. 5 Open the app. If you haven't logged out of the Twitter setup page on Google Play, you can simply click on “Open”. If not, go to the list of applications and find the icon there.
6. 6 Sign in to your Twitter account. If there is none, you will need to create it.
