In this article, we'll walk you through how to download and install Fortnite on your Chromebook. First, you need to configure the download from the Play Store and install the file manager.

Part 1 of 2: How to set up your Chromebook

1. 1 Click on the time in the lower right corner. The time indicator is located in the lower-right corner of the Chromebook screen. A menu will open.
2. 2 Please select Settings on the menu. This option is marked with ... The laptop settings will open.
3. 3 Please select Turn on next to the "Install applications and games from the Play Store" option. This option is in the "Play Store" section of the settings page. A window will open.
   • If this option is not there, update your Chrome OS system.
   • If this option still doesn't appear after a system update, your Chromebook won't work with Android apps.
4. 4 Click on More in the window. Now read the Google Terms of Service.
5. 5 Click on Agree. This will enable Play Store on your Chromebook.You can now download apps from the Play Store.
6. 6 Click on the link Application settings For more information, see the Android Applications section. A new page will open the application settings.
7. 7 Click on Safety in the application settings. Here you can change the security settings for your laptop.
8. 8 Activate the option unknown sources on the Security page. Tap "Unknown sources" in the "Device Administration" section and check the box next to "Install applications from unknown sources."
9. 9 Launch the Play Store app on your Chromebook. To do this, find on your laptop and click on the icon .
10. 10 Install a file manager. To do this, browse the categories of applications in the Play Store, or use the search bar (at the top of the screen) to find a file manager.
    • Install any free or paid file manager. We recommend finding an application from a reliable developer with a user-friendly interface.

Part 2 of 2: How to Install Fortnite

1. 1 Launch your web browser. It can be any browser installed on a laptop.
2. 2 Open the site fortnite.com/android in the browser. The system will automatically detect the version of Fortnite that suits your device and will redirect you to the download page.
3. 3 Scroll down and press the yellow button Download. The Fortnite installation APK will download to your laptop.
   • Fortnite can be installed on a laptop using this APK.
   • If the specified site doesn't open, open it on any Android device, download the installation APK to your device, and then transfer the file to your Chromebook using email, cloud storage, or flash drive.
4. 4 Launch the file manager on your Chromebook. To do this, on your laptop, find and click on the icon of the application that you installed from the Play Store.
5. 5 Find and select the downloaded APK file in the file manager. To do this, in the file manager window, go to the folder with the downloaded APK file, and then click on it.
6. 6 Click on Install or "Install" in the file manager window. Fortnite will be installed on a laptop. This game can now be played on a Chromebook.
