Besides trapping / moving or killing a rabbit that is devouring a garden, there are other ways to discourage it from visiting you. This can be done inexpensively, easily and in a natural way, successfully proven in many vegetable and flower gardens!

Steps

  1. 1 Prepare the following:
    • Good quality spray bottle (since you will be spraying a liter of liquid every night, you can get a commercial spray bottle from the hardware store. It costs about $ 100.)
    • A large bottle of Tabasco sauce from the grocery store (it doesn't have to be the most expensive brand of sauce, but buy the hottest and cheapest you can find!)
    • Empty gallon of water or milk container.
  2. 24 liters of warm water.
  3. 3 Mix 1 tablespoon of Tabasco in four liters of water and shake well. This will give you 4 liters of the Bad Bunny atomizer, as I call it. Be sure to make a clear mark on your gallon of mixed liquid so that there is no surprise for anyone - this mixture is VERY SPECT, even with one spoon diluted in four liters!
  4. 4 Spray the mixture in the early evening before the rabbits come to eat. Spray the entire lawn around your garden, especially the areas where you saw them appear (they are usually creatures of habit). If you let the grass grow a little taller, it will stop and feed before entering your garden. Rabbits DO NOT like the hot pepper taste in their breakfast! They will run away from the area, and if you sprinkle this liquid over several evenings (this is especially important if rain or dew has washed away the spray bottle), it will prevent them from returning.

Tips

  • Shake the gallon well before refilling the spray bottle.
  • Pepper spray can be sprayed on plants, but it can injure the leaves slightly until the plants harden. If your bunny eats grass near your garden, the taste of splashed green beans alone can drive him away!
  • Plants should not be sprayed every day during the growing season. After the rabbits receive the messages, they will stay away! If you see them slowly coming back, start spraying again over the course of a few days.
  • Spray the mixture for 4 or 5 nights and the rabbits will run away!
  • This method does not cause irreparable harm to the rabbit!

Warnings

  • Do not mix more than one tablespoon of Tabasco with 4 liters of water. Adding more than one spoonful of sauce will not "work better." Animals are very sensitive and should only be scared away, not injured!
  • This mixture is VERY SPICY! Don't fool around with it or spray it on your face or eyes. It can burn terribly!
