LinkedIn is a social networking site designed specifically for business owners and colleagues interested in creating new connections and keeping in touch with employers, peers, and like-minded professionals. The contacts on the site are known as "Links". This article will teach you how to unlink your LinkedIn account.
Steps
- 1 on LinkedIn, using your account email address and password.
- 2 Click on the Contacts tab at the top of the screen.
- 3 Click the "Remove Links" link in the upper right corner of the page.
- 4 Select the links you want to remove.
- 5 Click the Remove Links button.
- 6 Click the "Yes, remove them" button when prompted to confirm the process. This will permanently delete the selected links.
Tips
- You can re-create the remote link. The one you deleted will not be notified of the deletion.
Warnings
- Deleted links will remain in your contacts on the My Links tab even after you delete them.
