We all downloaded the program at one time, expecting to use it constantly. But then several months pass, and you realize that you have never launched it. Worse, it only collects digital dust and slows down your computer. Well, it's time to remove this unnecessary program.

Steps

1. 1 If you have a Windows computer, here's what you need to do. First of all, click the "Start" button and go to the "Control Panel" where the configurable system settings are located.
2. 2 Click on "Remove Programs" to open the properties of the software and programs installed on your computer.
3. 3 Click on the software or program you want to change or remove. Scroll through the list of programs and find the program or software you want to uninstall. Click on the "Uninstall" button to uninstall the program.
   • Confirm the removal of this program in the window that opens. Uninstallation can be fast or slow, depending on the program.
4. 4 When the program is removed, return to your usual work at the computer.
5. 5 Run a full scan of your computer by running your antivirus and anti-phishing software. Using programs like Windows Defender can go a long way towards removing unnecessary programs and getting rid of unwanted programs completely.
6. 6 If you have administrator rights, be careful what UAC changes you accept. Install only programs and updates that you trust or can trace back to the piece of software you are trying to get.
   • Gather a weekly list of programs that may need updating, or configure them to automatically search for updates in the background so that you can always keep track of changes made to these programs.

Warnings

• Close all pop-up windows when visiting sites! Don't take polls. When you complete a survey, a phishing program can steal your personal information. Don't believe everything companies say if you've never heard of them before.
