2 Find a competent school that teaches large vehicle driving and provides the certificate of the level you need. 3 Upon completion of the forklift driving courses, you must register with OSHA Safety Courses. 4 After completing the OSHA course, you will have all the documents required to apply for a job as a forklift driver.
5 It is also important that the courses cover safety and policy issues in your enterprise. The general course may meet OSHA requirements, but specific equipment and workplace codes of conduct should be discussed in class or directly with the employer after attending the general lesson. 
6 Drivers must be assessed by working on the vehicle they will be working on, and the overall assessment remotely is inadequate.
