Have you ever seen a word cloud and would like to do something similar? With a service like Wordle, it couldn't be easier. You can use your Wordle as a visual presentation of a document or article, or put it on your blog or website. Show your creativity by creating your own Wordle!

Steps

  1. 1 Visit the Wordle website. Wordle generates word clouds from text or websites that you enter. You can customize the cloud to your liking by choosing a layout, color, font, and more.
  2. 2 Click the Create Your Own link. You will be able to enter the text from which the Wordle will be created. You can paste text from a text file or enter the URL of a website that has an RSS or Atom feed.
    • Remember to put spaces between words.
    • You can enter any number of words.
  3. 3 Click the "Go" button to create your Wordle. It will generate a random Wordle based on the words or URL you entered. Click the "Randomize" button to regenerate Wordle with new settings.
    • You need to enable Java to create Wordle. If you don't have the latest Java version, you will need to update it.
  4. 4 Customize Wordle. Once you've created your Wordle, you can start editing it. There are several menus at the top of the Wordle screen that allow you to customize the formatting.
    • The Language menu will allow you to remove words from specific languages. You can also change the order of the words you have entered.
    • The Font menu will allow you to choose from a variety of fonts. Changing the font will affect all words in your Wordle.
    • The Layout menu lets you set how many words you want to include in Wordle, as well as the general shape and orientation of the words.
    • The Color menu will allow you to customize the color palette Wordle uses for words. You can choose from presets or create your own combination.
  5. 5 Share your Wordle. Once you're done with the finishing touches, you can print it or save it to the open gallery. Wordle will be public, so make sure it doesn't contain any personal information.
