This tutorial will teach you how to create new layers in Adobe Illustrator.
Steps
1 Look at the Layers panel - at the bottom of the window there is a Create New Layer button. Click on it and a new layer will appear in the palette. 
2 The name of the layer can be changed in the layer settings by double-clicking on it.
3 To create a new sublayer, select the required layer and click the Create New Sublayer button.
