This article will show you how to create a new text or voice channel in Discord on your Android device. You must have administrator rights to create a channel.

Steps

1. 1 Launch Discord on your device. The app icon looks like a blue circle with a white game controller inside.
2. 2 Click on the icon with three horizontal lines in the upper left corner of the screen. The navigation menu will then appear.
   • This menu can also be opened by swiping to the right along the left edge of the screen.
3. 3 Click on the server icon in the navigation bar. On the left side of the screen, you will see all your servers. Click on the server you want to use for your channel.
4. 4 Find the headings "Text Channels" and "Voice Channels". These sections contain all text and voice channels on this server.
5. 5 Click the + icon next to Text Channels or Voice Channels. After that, you will be taken to the "Create Channel" page. This button will allow you to create a text or voice channel on this server.
   • Only a user with administrator rights can create a channel. If you do not have these rights, you will not see the “+” icons.
6. 6 Click on the Channel Name field.
7. 7 Enter the name of the new channel on this server.
8. 8 Specify who will have access to the channel on this server. Under the heading "Who Can Access This Channel?" tick the checkbox of the users you want to add to the channel.
   • If you have no contacts on this server yet, it will be written here @everyone.
9. 9 Click on the "Save" button. It looks like a floppy disk and is located in the lower right corner of the screen. This will create a text or voice channel.
   • If you create a text feed, then after you click on the floppy disk icon, Discord will automatically open it on the screen.
   • If you create a voice channel, then after clicking on the floppy disk icon, Discord will open the navigation menu. Click on the channel name under the Voice Channels heading to enter it.
