Omegle is a pretty fun resource, but you can get blocked at the most inopportune moment. If for some reason you cannot wait, try to get a new IP address from your ISP. Or use a VPN to bypass account blocking, but you will have to pay for this service. Please note that it is no longer possible to appeal against the blocking of a user account with Omegle.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Obtaining a New Public IP Address

1. 1 Wait a few days. As a rule, Omegle blocks user accounts for no longer than a week - after this period, the account will be automatically unlocked.If you can't wait, try getting a new IP address from your ISP.
2. 2 Enter "my IP" in a search engine to find out your current public IP address. This address is provided to Omegle when you visit its website; this address is also used to block your account.
   • Write down or remember this address so that you can later check if it has changed.
3. 3 Check your network hardware. It's great if you have a cable modem and a separate router, but this method may not work if you have a combined modem / router or modem connected directly to your computer. You also need to check if your computer has an Ethernet port.
4. 4 Power off your modem. In most cases, ISPs provide users with dynamic IP addresses, that is, when you connect to the Internet, your computer is assigned an IP address chosen at random from a range of addresses. By resetting your modem, you will get a new IP address.
   • However, not all users receive a dynamic IP address (although most users do). If this method didn't work for you, skip to the next section.
5. 5 Disconnect the modem from the router. Typically, the computer is assigned a different IP address when the modem detects a new MAC address. By connecting the modem directly to your computer (not your router), the modem will detect the new MAC address (of your computer).
6. 6 Leave the modem de-energized for an hour. Sometimes a new IP address is assigned within 30 seconds, and sometimes it takes an hour or two - the time frame depends on your ISP.
7. 7 Connect the modem directly to your computer. To do this, use an Ethernet cable that plugs into the Ethernet port of your computer.
   • Disconnect the computer from any wireless network.
8. 8 Plug the modem into an electrical outlet. Wait a few minutes for the modem to turn on and connect to the network. Your computer will access the internet directly through the modem.
9. 9 Enter "my IP" in a search engine to find out your current public IP address. If your current IP address is different from the previous one (which you wrote down or remembered), then you received a new public IP address; otherwise, skip to the next section.
10. 10 If you want to get a new IP address, connect your router. If the above method worked, you can change your dynamic IP address again by following the same steps but connecting your modem to your router. In this case, the modem will find a new MAC address (router), which will change the IP address. To obtain a new IP-address, connect the modem alternately to the computer and to the router.

Method 2 of 2: Using a VPN Service

1. 1 Find a fast and reliable VPN service. A VPN (Virtual Private Network) service allows you to hide your IP address by redirecting your network traffic through other servers. In this case, the Omegle service will determine the IP address of the VPN server, not the address provided to you by your ISP. Keep in mind that the speed of your internet connection slows down slightly when using a VPN service, so it is recommended that you upgrade to a high-speed data plan. This is especially true if you are passionate about video chats. Most VPN services are paid, but your money will be refunded if the service does not work with Omegle.
   • Popular VPNs include IPVanish, ExpressVPN, and HideMyAss.
   • You can try logging into Omegle through free proxies, but each one gets blocked quickly. If you want to give it a try, read this article.
   • If your Omegle account gets blocked frequently, then this method will be a waste of money. In this case, it is better to use the method described in the previous section.
2. 2 Register on the VPN service website. You will receive the username and password required to connect to the VPN.
3. 3 Find a list of VPN server addresses. The VPN service will provide you with a list of addresses that you can connect to. Typically, such a list can be found on the VPN service's customer support page or in the email you receive from the VPN service.
4. 4 Connect to a VPN. The connection process depends on the operating system you are using:
   • In Windows, right-click on the network icon (in the system tray) and select "Network and Sharing Center". Click "Set up a new connection or network". From the list of options, select "Connect to a workplace" and then "Use my internet connection (VPN)". Enter the VPN server address, username and password.

Click New, and then select a new VPN connection from the list of networks. Enter the VPN server address, username and password. Click "Connect" to connect to the VPN.
5. 5 Open the Omegle website. If you are properly connected to the VPN, you will be able to log into your Omegle account. If your account is still locked, check if you are actually connected to a VPN.
   • If your Omegle account gets blocked again, please use a different VPN server address (from the list above).
