Want to turn newspapers into free fuel? This article will show you two ways to do this.

Steps

  1. 1 Collect newspapers. A two week stack will be enough to get you started.

Method 1 of 2: Sheet method

  1. 1 Divide the newspaper into sheets and fold each sheet to half a page.
  2. 2 Fill a container with water, add one tablespoon of detergent and stir.
  3. 3 Submerge the folded sheets one at a time in the water.
  4. 4 Carefully remove the sheets and spread them on a clean floor.
  5. 5 Wind the sheets onto rods and squeeze the water out of them.
  6. 6 Slide the resulting roll to the edge of the core and let it dry.
  7. 7 Storage. After newspaper fuel has dried, store it in a dry, ventilated area.

Method 2 of 2: Dozen way

This method is suitable for creating fuel for already well burning furnaces. The dampness of this fuel can extinguish a poorly burning firebox or fireplace.

  1. 1 Roll a dozen (12) newspapers into a tight roll.
  2. 2 tie at both ends.
  3. 3 Submerge the roll in water for 2-3 days.
  4. 4 Remove and dry for 2-3 days.
  5. 5 Place the resulting fuel only in well-burning furnaces. Moisture will remain in the fuel, this will allow it to burn longer and evenly give off heat.

Tips

  • if sheet-made fuel gets wet, just dry it.
  • Do not start the fire with the second way fuel. It will smoke and extinguish the fire. For ignition, use the fuel made in the first way.
