Wireless networks have a unique name called the SSID. Most routers broadcast it, thus allowing hackers to gain access to the network. In this article, we will show you how to hide it.

Steps

1. 1 Log in to your router's control panel. Read the instructions if you are not sure how to do it.
2. 2 Select "home network" or a similar option.
3. 3 Select 'WLAN' or a similar option and click Settings or something similar.
4. 4 Uncheck "broadcast network name" or similar.
5. 5 Click on "Apply" or a similar option.
6. 6 Close the browser or tab through the control panel.

Warnings

• Never do this without writing down the SSID of your network. Otherwise, it can be extremely troublesome to find it.
