The parero can be worn on the beach as a cape or worn as an evening dress. Parero is a versatile type of clothing while on vacation. But in the wintertime, summer clothes are not easy to find. You can buy a parero at inflated prices online and still pay for shipping, but you can also make a parero yourself by following the instructions below.

Steps

1. 1 Determine what size the parero should be. If you are a petite girl, 91 cm wide will be enough, but if you have more voluminous forms, a 1.1 m wide parero is more suitable for you. The average length is 183 cm, but you can choose the length you need for your height.
2. 2 Go to your local fabric store and choose a lightweight fabric. Knitwear, fine satin and silk work well for pareros. The width of the fabric should be at least what you need, and the required length will be cut in the store. If you are not sure about the size, it is better to buy fabric with a margin.
3. 3 Wrap the fabric around your body when you get home and check if the length is right for you, and then determine what length and width the parero should be.
4. 4 Adjust the length and width of the parero as needed.
   • Use a measuring tape to measure the length and / or width of your parero along the top and right edge of the fabric, then pin the needles in even strokes.
   • Use sewing scissors to trim the fabric to the size indicated by the needles. You can draw a line from the wrong side along the strokes of the needles or cut in a straight line using a ruler.You should now have a large rectangle.
5. 5 Sew along the edges of the parero for a finished look.
   • Tuck each edge of the parero 6mm from the wrong side of the fabric.
   • Tuck again 6 mm and pin with a needle, then iron the folded edge with an iron.
   • Sew each inner edge of the folded fabric using a sewing machine. Make sure to choose the right thread color that matches the fabric color or shades.
6. 6 Ready. You can wear the parero as a dress ...

Tips

• If you have selected a fabric of a suitable width, with sewn edges and hem, you can trim off the protruding threads at the two edges of the fabric to keep the hem of the fabric neat. This is an easy way without using a sewing machine.
• You can add hanging tassels around the edges of the fabric to make the parero look fancy.
