1 Dissolve 1 teaspoon of sodium tetraborate in 500 ml of hot water. Stir well and leave to cool.

2 Pour the glue into three bowls. Each bowl should contain approximately 120 ml of clear glue.

3 Pour 100 ml of water into each bowl.

4 Add blue and black food coloring to one of the bowls.

5 Add pink food coloring to a second bowl.

6 Add purple food coloring to the third bowl.

7 Pour glitter and glitter into all three bowls.

8 Use a stick to mix together glue, water, dyes and glitter. Stir until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.

• You can mix the ingredients with a spoon, but a stick is preferred. The shape of the mixture can stick to the spoon and be difficult to scrape off.

9 Pour one third of the sodium tetraborate water into one of the bowls. Mix quickly and thoroughly. The slime will begin to thicken.

10 Repeat the previous step with the remaining two bowls.

11 Knead the slimes with your hands. At this stage, the slimes are still quite liquid. Knead them with your hands to make them thicker and tighter.

12 Gently connect the slimes by kneading them with your hands. Do not knead them for too long, or the colors will blend into one.

13 Ready! You can play with your shiny new space slime. Store it in an airtight container or plastic bag.

Tips

• In order to make a slime, sodium tetraborate is not necessary. You can use liquid starch, liquid laundry detergent, or saline solution instead.
• You can add star-shaped confetti to the slime to make it look even more cosmic.
• You can also make a slime by mixing glue, water, and liquid detergent in a bowl.
• Don't add too much glue, or the slime will be very sticky.
• If you don't have clear glue, white will do, but it's better to buy a clear one.

Warnings

• Glitter is easy to get dirty, and while playing with the slime, they can remain on your hands.
• If you crumple the slime frequently, its colors will gradually blend into one.
