For a nice addition to many desserts, make cinnamon sugar. Making this condiment at home is very inexpensive compared to purchasing the mixture at the supermarket.
Steps
1 Most people love this 4: 1 condiment, white sugar to ground cinnamon. A typical measurement is 1/4 cup sugar for 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, as this balances out the sweetness of the sugar and the specific flavor of the cinnamon. Other proportions range from 3: 1 to 12: 1.
- 1/4 cup sugar to 4 teaspoons cinnamon, or a 3: 1 ratio
- 1/4 cup sugar to 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, or a 6: 1 ratio
- 1/2 cup sugar to 1 tablespoon cinnamon, or an 8: 1 ratio
- 2 tablespoons sugar to 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon or 8: 1 ratio
- 1 tablespoon sugar to 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon or a 12: 1 ratio
2 Measure out granulated white sugar in a small bowl.
3 Measure and add cinnamon to a bowl.
4 Mix thoroughly. Add each more ingredient until you get the right flavor of the spice.
5 Add a mixture of cinnamon and sugar to a variety of desserts and dishes. Here are some recipes:

6 Store leftover mixture in an airtight container at room temperature.
