1 Chop the almonds in a food processor for 10 seconds.Method 2 of 2: Decorating the cake
- 1 Roll the marzipan with a rolling pin to the shape and size of the cake. Also roll out the strips to decorate the sides of the cake.
- 2 Spread warm apricot jam over the cake. Cover the cake with marzipan and leave in a cool place for 1 day.
- 3 Whisk the egg whites and sugar until stiff. Add glycerin and lemon juice. Whisk the mixture until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- 4 Use a spatula to apply the icing to the cake.
- 5 Garnish with dried fruits and nuts.
- 6 Serve on the table.
