- Beat the egg in a small bowl.
- In another bowl, combine the breadcrumbs, Panko crackers, Parmesan, and dried parsley.
- Pour flour into a third bowl.
- Serve with a suitable dipping sauce such as sweet chili sauce, pizza sauce, or tomato ketchup.
- Serve the sticks at the party on a large platter with the sauce in the center. Serve as soon as they are ready.
Method 2 of 3: Deep Fryer Mozzarella Sticks
- 1 Make sticks from the mozzarella cheese. Cut the cheese into strips about 2 cm by 2 cm.
- 2 Prepare the dough. Break eggs into a bowl and add milk. Whisk.
- 3 Pour flour into a bowl. Place the breadcrumbs in another bowl.
- 4 Dip the cheese stick in flour. Cover thoroughly.
- 5 Dip a floured stick in the egg mixture. Cover thoroughly.
- 6 Dip the stick, covered with the egg mixture, in the breadcrumbs. You may need to dip the stick again in the egg mixture and roll in breadcrumbs. Do this at your own discretion.
- 7 Place the finished stick on wax or parchment paper to keep it from sticking. Repeat with the remaining cheese sticks.
- 8 Heat oil in a deep skillet or saucepan. Put 2-3 sticks in hot oil. Do not overload to prevent long cooking times. Fry until golden brown, about 1 minute on each side.
- 9 Remove from oil with tongs. Place on paper towels to drain off excess grease.
- 10 Serve. Use a dipping sauce such as sweet chili, pizza, or tomato-based sauces.
Method 3 of 3: Mozzarella sticks in thin crust
This method is different from the original, but it is perfect for children who do not eat neatly!
- 1 Place the cheese sticks in the freezer. The cheese should be completely hardened.
- 2 Remove from freezer. Wrap in thin dough like this:
- Place the stick on a thin dough.
- Fold the bottom corner over the cheese stick.
- The dough should reach the middle of the stick.
- Fold the sides in the middle over the cheese stick.
- Moisten the last remaining corner with a drop of water, roll up and secure tightly.
- 3 Repeat with the remaining mozzarella sticks. Place ready-made chopsticks on a large plate.
- 4 Heat oil in a deep skillet or saucepan. The oil should be hot and completely cover the sticks.
- 5 Place 2-3 sticks in the pan and fry. Cook for about 30-60 seconds on each side. Remove with tongs or a slotted spoon.
- 6 Place on paper towels to drain off excess grease.
- 7 Serve warm. Add a dipping sauce such as sweet chili, tomato ketchup, or pizza sauce.

Tips
- Reduced fat mozzarella can be used if desired.
- Thin dough can be dampened by wrapping in a damp paper or kitchen towel before use.
- If you can't find Italian-style bread crumbs, add the Italian herb mixture and mix thoroughly.
