1. 1 Choose a spray that suits your skin type. As well as the choice of any cosmetic for the face, the choice of spray for fixing depends on the type of skin. If you have naturally oily skin, look for a non-greasy fixative with a matte finish.

2. 2 Consider the weather. Makeup flows on hot and humid days. Choose a moisture- and sweat-resistant cooling spray. If you live in cold climates or it is the height of winter, try a moisturizing fixative spray to protect your skin from the negative effects of dry air.
3. 3 Choose a spray with the desired effect. It all depends on personal preference. Some people prefer makeup with a matte fishy without shine. Others prefer the effect of moist, radiant skin. Keep this in mind when choosing a spray: some fixatives will matte the face, while others will give it a slight damp shine.
4. 4 Use an SPF spray on sunny days. Regardless of the quality of application, makeup remains makeup, not complete skin care. And the best skin care advice is to protect it from sun damage. If you are going to spend a lot of time in the sun, use an SPF spray. Apply it all over your face before going out and renew throughout the day. This spray will not only keep your makeup flawless, but also protect your skin from burns and other negative effects of the sun.
   • While the SPF Fixing Spray provides some sun protection, you will still need regular sunscreen: you cannot apply just enough spray to completely protect you from the sun's rays.

Part 2 of 3: Improve Makeup Application

1. 1 Use fixative to moisten the foundation sponge. To apply a liquid foundation, many people use a beauty blender, or replicas of a famous makeup accessory. To use the sponge properly, you need to moisturize it before applying makeup. Instead of water to wet the sponge, you can use a make-up setting spray.
   • This technique does not work with all sponges. Some brands of sponges can deteriorate from the spray, so be careful.
   • Moisture from the sponge will help you blend and blend your foundation easily and evenly.
   • The fixing spray will also keep the base from rolling over the course of a long day.
2. 2 Spray onto the eyeshadow brush. Many compact eyeshadows have a thin layer and feel like they need to be applied in multiple layers to achieve the vibrant, rich color you want. Make-up fixing spray can fix this. Take a brush and dry eyeshadow on it. Before applying to the eyelid, spray the brush with a fixative spray. This trick will give the shadows more density and brightness than with regular application.

Part 3 of 3: Secure your makeup

1. 1 Shake the spray bottle. Different sprays have different compositions, and many contain ingredients that can sink to the bottom. To mix the spray well, shake the bottle gently several times. You don't need to shake it hard: you can lightly, but so that everything inside is mixed.
2. 2 Spray the spray onto your finished makeup. Hold the bottle 15–20 cm away from your face. Apply a thin, even layer to your face, so don't bring the bottle too close. Spray the product several times to achieve an even coverage.
   • Make-up spray works best on the top coat: bronzer, eyeshadow and blush. If you want to fix your foundation and concealer, then use the primer that you apply underneath. Primer and Makeup Setting Spray can be used together.
   • You can use the following technique to spread the spray all over your face: first spray in a crisscross pattern, and then again with the letter "T".
3. 3 Wait for the spray to dry on its own. Allow the spray to air dry after application. The skin will quickly absorb the product. Do not scrub or smear the spray over your face, or you could ruin your makeup.
4. 4 Reapply the spray throughout the day. Carry the product with you in your bag to use when needed. Depending on the properties, the spray you choose can cool, matte and moisturize your skin throughout the day.
