Waze is a social navigator, and therefore the ability to share your location plays an important role in it. In Waze, you can share your current location or the location of your destination with your friends or anyone on your contact list. You can also send an estimated time of arrival to anyone on your contact list.They will be able to follow your ride on the Waze app or web page.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Submitting a Location
1 Click on the "Waze" button. It is located in the lower left corner of the screen. 
2 Select Share. The Share menu will open. 
3 Select "Current Location" or "Your Destination". You can share your current location, destination, home or work address. Choose which location you want to share. 
4 Select your Waze contacts. You will see a list of your contacts, in which Waze users are marked. If the person you are sending the location to has the Waze app installed, they will receive a notification in it. Otherwise, your contact will receive a message prompting you to install it and a link to the location sent. 
5 Click on the "More" button to see additional options. You can send your location through any other application. Click the More button next to Share to see all the options available for sending your location, including email and text messages. This will create a message with your location and a link to the Waze website.
Method 2 of 2: Sending the arrival time
1 Start the navigator. If you want to send your arrival time to someone, Waze should already have a route. When you submit your arrival time, the recipient will see your arrival time and will be able to track your path in the Waze app. 
2 Click on the "Waze" button. The Waze menu will open. 
3 Select Share. Your contact list will open. 
4 Select the contacts you want to share with. To send a notification to the Waze app, you can select any contact with the Waze icon next to the name. By opening the notification, they can track your trip progress and arrival time in the app. If you select a contact that does not have the Waze app installed, a text message will be sent asking them to install Waze, along with a link to track your progress along the route on the Waze website. 
5 Share using a different method. Click on the "More" button in the lower left corner of the screen to open all the available options on your device. A message will then be generated with your estimated arrival time and a link to your location on the Waze website. 
6 Pause monitoring of your trip. If you would like to cancel the invitation to see the progress of your trip, click the Share button located at the bottom of the screen next to the time. Touch the orange Share button and then select Stop.
