Firewall is software that prevents hackers from attacking and infiltrating your computer. Sometimes it is necessary to bypass this protection (for specific purposes). This is called port forwarding.

Steps

1. 1 When connected to the Internet, the "router" is responsible for connecting to the global network, and the "hub" is responsible for connecting to the local network. For home users, a single concept called "router / hub" is introduced. Log in to your router / hub by entering the address of the router in your browser. The address, username and password of the router are indicated on the box of the router.
2. 2 You will find the "Advanced" option. Click “LAN setup”. The “IP address” column will be displayed with the addresses of all devices connected to the LAN hub.
3. 3Enter the address of the device on which you want to open port 80, for example, 192.168.1.3
4. 4 Click "Port Forwarding / Port Triggering" - "Add Custom Service".
5. 5 Fill in the required fields (as shown in the picture) and click “Apply”.
   • Port forwarding configuration is complete.

Tips

• You may need to find out the IP address of your router / hub for the Internet. It is set by the ISP as an identifier for the user's location in their equipment. Usually, the address does not change unless you change your ISP or your location. To find the address, log into the router and click on “Basic settings”.

Warnings

• Don't go overboard with your router's settings - restoring its default settings isn't easy.
