With a simple trick, you can burn files to CD / DVD + R discs multiple times. This process is known as multi-session recording and is very easy to understand. Even users without a lot of computer experience can cope with this.

Steps

1. 1 Insert a blank DVD-R, DVD + R, or CD-R disc into your drive.
2. 2 Install Nero or any other CD / DVD burning software.
3. 3 Select the files to burn to your disc and click "Next", after that you will be asked if you want to burn a disc in multi session mode.
4. 4 Choose “record in multi session mode”.
5. 5 After the burning process is complete, insert the DVD into the drive again and this time you can burn files normally.
6. 6 Ready.

Tips

• Windows 7 has the ability to use a CD / DVD drive as a flash drive, meaning you can copy, delete, and so on. Insert a blank disc and copy some files to it. In the top panel, under the menu bar, click on the "Burn these files to disk" tab.
• DVD-R and CD-R are really not meant to be reused. These disks have hardware limitations for areas that already contain information. No changes can be made in these areas, so you will lose all disk space over time. If you want to continue using the DVD or CD as a flash drive, please use RW discs (DVD-RW or CD-RW).
• Some disc burning software does not have a multi session function, so be sure to enable multi session mode before burning to disc if you want to burn files to disc in the future.

Warnings

• Do not use up all the space on the disc the first time you burn it.
• After you have burned files to DVD-R or CD-R, then the occupied part of the disc can no longer be changed, only readable. As you continue to add files, you will gradually lose disk space.
