It is difficult to meet the high demands that modern life makes for us if you cannot instantly find the item you need in your bag. Overcoming the clutter of homework, candy wrappers, napkins, and scraps of paper in search of a pen is time-consuming and stressful. This guide will help you keep your school backpack clean and tidy.

Steps

  1. 1 Find a good bag. Start by buying a good school bag. Backpacks are more popular than shoulder bags, briefcases, and so on because they are generally larger, easier to use, and generally the most efficient way to store and carry school supplies. However, many girls choose a more feminine style - tote bags or “messenger bags” (shoulder bags). Whichever you choose, make sure it's large enough to hold textbooks, papers, and folders without cracking at the seams. Also, look for a bag with pockets. Tidying up a bag with one or two compartments is incredibly difficult. You should try to find a bag with at least two pockets, one of which will be zipped. It is advisable to find an inexpensive bag, however, be prepared to spend at least 700 rubles.
  2. 2 Start by simply emptying your old bag onto the floor. It is best to do this on a hard, open surface. Go through your belongings and throw away obvious trash (old napkins, pen caps, pieces of paper, and the like). Then ask yourself what you really need for school, and what just got into your backpack by accident. Determine the further fate of things from the backpack quickly and without undue stress. Wouldn't it be better to put the comb in your gym bag and use it there? Chances are, you don't need 3 spare folders and 10 lip balms - only pack items that you will use frequently.
  3. 3 Add the things you've always needed. Now is the perfect time to add to your pile of things that you always wanted to have, but which you never had. These items may include chewing gum, wipes, hand lotion, and other items that you often borrowed from other guys. You can also include a contingency kit here: pads and tampons, adhesive plasters, a mirror, hair ties, hairpins, and so on. However, do not heap up all the things that will still have to be thrown away in the last paragraph of the guide.
  4. 4 Clean out the bag. Use this moment to clear dirt and debris from your backpack. Thoroughly cleaning all areas of the backpack, all stains on the inside and outside - this will give you a clean start when collecting the backpack later on.
  5. 5 Grouping. Now group the items that will go into the backpack based on similarities. Examples of such groups are: cosmetics, writing instruments, contingency kits, personal care products (in particular, hair), school books and notebooks / papers, electronics, etc.
  6. 6 Finally, put everything in your bag. Start by noting how many individual pockets / compartments you have and where they are; think about which things are best for which compartment or pocket. Of course, textbooks and notebooks / papers will go to the largest compartment, but what are you going to do with all those little pockets? Use them based on the division of things into groups that you did earlier. Pens, pencils and markers are best kept where you can reach them quickly. Keep your contingency kit and cosmetics in an inner pocket or in a small, separate outer pocket.Electronic devices should be well protected and kept separate from lotions, sprays, and food. In organizing things, follow the following logic: what you use most often should be where you can get these things quickly and easily. Items that are not used as often can be stored somewhere in the depth and in a less accessible place. Consider secrecy as well - for example, keeping feminine hygiene products inside if you don't want to draw attention when you get them.
  7. 7 Test the system. Walk around with your bag / backpack organized in this way for a couple of days and see how comfortable it is. If necessary, swap any groups of objects in places. What you have not used during the week must be removed from the bag. Likewise, the things you need every day are worth reporting. Don't be afraid to make changes along the way; Schedule changes and extracurricular activities may require adjustments to the organization of things in your school bag / backpack.
  8. 8 Clean regularly! Clean your bag at least once a month, or as often as it becomes chaotic. Try to avoid this problem by keeping things in order; don't pack up your bag at the last moment, and again, don't be afraid to make changes to the system along the way when it stops working.

Tips

  • Small pockets are great for makeup, hair products, and a contingency kit. They are also handy for items that you often transfer (in a gym bag, in a locker in a dressing room, a purse / cosmetic bag, etc.).
  • Always be prepared by folding your bag the night before school and taking an extra couple of minutes to put everything back in place.
  • Keeping school notebooks, papers and textbooks tidy is also very important. It is very difficult to search a bag filled with even the necessary papers every time in search of some thing - it can destroy your system.
  • If you carry a water bottle with you, buy a strap with a clip and clip it to the handle of your bag.
