Steps

Method 1 of 3: Composing a Message on Samsung Android

1. 1 Click on "Menu" and select the "Messages" option.
2. 2 Click on the "New message" or "Write new message" option.
3. 3 In the "To" field, you need to enter the phone number of the person to whom you want to write a message.
   • You can also enter the name of the person you want to write a message to if his contact information is already saved in the phone's memory.
4. 4 Enter your text message in the input field.
5. 5 Click on the "Submit" button. Your text message will be sent to the selected recipient.

Method 2 of 3: Composing a T9 Message

1. 1 Press the left soft key to open the main menu of the phone.
2. 2 Find and select the "Messages" option.
3. 3 Click on the "Write new message" option.
4. 4 Select "SMS Message".
5. 5 Write your message using the keyboard on your phone. If your Samsung phone does not have a traditional keyboard, you need to click on the numbers with the corresponding letters. For example, to write the word "message", you need to press "6 + 5 + 5 + 2 + 8 + 3 + 5 + 4 + 3".
   • Press the down navigation key to display and select other words. This is necessary if the Samsung dictionary did not initially select the word you wanted to write.
6. 6 Press the right soft key to select the Send option.
7. 7 Enter the phone number of the person you want to send the message to.
   • Alternatively, press the left soft key and select the recipient's name from the contact list.
8. 8 Press the right soft key to select Send Message. Your text message will be sent to the selected recipient.

Method 3 of 3: Composing a Message in ABC Mode

1. 1 Press the left soft key to open the main menu of the phone.
2. 2 Find and select the "Messages" option.
3. 3 Click on the "Write new message" option.
4. 4 Select "SMS Message".
5. 5 Write your message using the keyboard on your phone. If your Samsung phone doesn't have a traditional keyboard, you'll have to press the keys one, two, three, or four times until the letter you want is displayed. For example, to write the word "hello," you need to press 5 four times, 6 once, 4 once, 2 three times, 3 twice, and 6 three times.
6. 6 Press the right soft key to select the Send option.
7. 7 Enter the phone number of the person you want to send the message to.
   • Alternatively, press the left soft key and select the recipient's name from the contact list.
8. 8 Press the right soft key to select Send Message. Your text message will be sent to the selected recipient

Tips

• Press and hold the # key at any time when composing a message to switch between T9 and ABC modes.
