If you want to have a hard copy of your SMS or email, you don't need to copy it to a file, open it on your computer and print it from there. You can simply print these files directly from your Android device. Skip to step 1 to know how you can print different types of text from your Android phone or tablet.
Steps
Part 1 of 4: Connect Android and Printer
1 Determine your printer connection type. There are several ways in which you can connect your printer to your Android device. You can use a USB, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection depending on the connection type of the printer you have.
- When connecting the printer to Android using Wi-Fi, make sure both devices are connected to the same wireless Internet access or router.
Part 2 of 4: Print Text Messages and Contacts
1 Download an app called “PrintShare” from Google Play. PrintShare lets you print phone documents like phone contacts, text messages, and more.
2 Launch PrintShare after installation.
3 Click either “Contacts” or “Messages” in the menu.
4 Click on the item you want to print and click “Print.”
5 Adjust the parameters. On the Print Preview screen, you can adjust various settings such as fonts, paper size, and margins before printing text.
6 Click on “Print.”
7 Select the type of connection between your Android and the printer you are using.
8 Select a printer and wait for the document to finish printing.
Part 3 of 4: Printing Emails
1 Open your Android email app.
2 Click on the letter you want to print to open it.
3 Press the "Menu" button on your phone.
4 Click on “Print.”
5 Select “Mobile Print.”
- For some brands of Android devices, the Mobile Print option only allows you to print using a printer brand the same as your phone. If your Android device and printer are from different manufacturers, you can use the PrintShare app instead.
Part 4 of 4: Print Web Pages
1 Open the web browser app on your Android.
2 Go to the web page you want to print.
3 Press the "Menu" button on your phone.
4 Click on “Print.”
5 Select “Mobile Print.”
Tips
- These methods use common Android web, text messaging and email applications. If you are using third-party applications, the printing methods may differ from the above.
