In this article, we are going to show you how to change the primary input language on iPhone. The iPhone interface language does not always determine the language used in third-party applications (not from Apple) or websites, although most of the content should be translated automatically. Keep in mind that if the iPhone has switched to a right-to-left language, the options that were on the left will be on the right (and vice versa).

Steps

1. 1 Launch the Settings app . Click on the gear-shaped icon.
2. 2 Scroll down and tap "General" . This option is on the settings page and is marked with a gear icon.
3. 3 Scroll down and tap Language and Region. This is the seventh option from the bottom of the page. The non-Russian names for this option are as follows:
   • Chinese - 語言和地區
   • Spanish - Idioma y región
   • Hindi - भाषा और क्षेत्र
   • Arab - اللغة والمنطقة
   • English - Language & Region
4. 4 Tap IPhone language. This is the first option on the page. A menu with languages ​​will open.
5. 5 Choose language. Scroll through the list and then tap the language you want. A blue check mark (✓) appears next to the selected language.
6. 6 Click on Ready. It's in the upper-right corner of the screen.
7. 7 Tap Change to [language] in the request window. It's at the bottom of the window. When you click on this option, the iPhone screen will go blank because the device is changing the primary language.
8. 8 Wait for the primary language to be changed. When this happens, you will be returned to the Language & Region page.

Tips

• If the smartphone interface has switched to a language that you do not understand and therefore cannot find the "Language and region" option, enter "language and region" into Google Translate and find out the translation of this phrase into the desired language.

Warnings

• Some languages, such as Arabic, are read from right to left. If the phone interface has switched to such a language, the options that were located on the left will be on the right (and vice versa).
