Want to use your old Xbox 360 controller on your Xbox One? You won't be able to connect an Xbox 360 controller directly to your Xbox One, but you can use a Windows computer. Learn how to connect your Xbox 360 controller to your Windows 10 PC and transfer games from your Xbox One to the Xbox app on your PC in this article. You will need an Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, Xbox 360 Wired Controller, or Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with Wireless Adapter.
Steps
1 Connect your Xbox 360 controller to your computer. Connect the wired Xbox 360 controller to the USB port and the wireless controller to the wireless adapter. Windows 10 PC and Xbox One must be on the same network. - Moreover, these devices must use the same connection type. For example, nothing will work if the computer is connected to the network via an Ethernet cable, and the game console is connected via a wireless network module.
2 Turn on your Xbox One. Do this even though your Xbox One cannot be controlled with an Xbox 360 controller. 
3 Launch the Xbox app on your computer. Click on the Xbox logo icon on a green background; it's in the start menu. - Sign in to the Xbox app with your Xbox One account.
4 Click on Connection. You'll find this button in the left pane of the Xbox app; the button has an icon that looks like an Xbox One. The computer will detect the Xbox One if both devices are on the same network. 
5 Click on Streaming. You'll find this option at the top of the screen next to the dot icon and two wireless signals. Games from your Xbox One will now be streamed to your PC, and games can be controlled with an Xbox 360 controller that's connected to your PC. The picture from the Xbox One will be displayed on the TV screen or monitor.
Tips
- For the best experience, connect both your computer and Xbox One to your router using an Ethernet cable.
- To reduce lags, click Change Quality in the upper right corner of the Xbox app and lower the picture quality. Even if you tune in to the lowest quality picture, the TV will display a great picture.
