Many vegetarians and vegans often don't eat pies because they are made with eggs. Here's a surprisingly simple egg-free chocolate cake recipe. You won't even feel the difference!
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups (187 g) sifted flour
- 3 tablespoons (16 g) unsweetened sifted cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon (4.6 g) baking soda
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- 1/2 tsp (3 g) salt
- 5 tbsp (74 ml) oil
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) white vinegar
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1 cup (237 ml) cold water
- Cooking time: 33 minutes (time depends on your oven)
Steps
1 Preheat oven to 350 º F / 180 º C.
2 Add flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, sugar and salt to a bowl. Mix everything well.
3 Add oil, vinegar, vanilla extract and water.
4 Combine wet and dry ingredients with a hand processor until smooth and lump-free.
5 Pour the dough into a pre-greased baking dish (23 x 23 cm and 5 cm deep).
6 Bake at 180 ° C (350 ° F) for about half an hour. Keep an eye on the process, as all ovens cook differently. Place a toothpick or fork in the middle. If you got it clean, then the cake is ready.
7 Remove from the mold and refrigerate for about 5 minutes, then turn it over into a serving dish. To make it easier for you to do this, run a butter knife around the edges of the cake and free the peers from the sides.
- Place a serving dish on a baking dish.
- Hold the shape with your hand in a mitten.
- Remove the baking dish from the pie.
- Place a serving dish on a baking dish.
8 Cool completely if you wish to apply the frosting. You can also serve it with a dollop of whipped non-dairy cream or chocolate sauce. The cake is delicious and uncoated.
Tips
- You can use baking paper instead of butter.
