Peeling (weak) is needed every day - or perhaps once a week! Steaming twice a week. Use a face mask twice a week.

Steps

Method 1 of 3: Peeling

  1. 1 You don't need to exfoliate regularly to keep your makeup smooth and to keep your face clean. Most beauty experts recommend exfoliating once or twice a week if needed. Performing this procedure too often can damage the PH level of your skin, making your skin look too dry and flaky. Don't use harsh exfoliation products made for the body ... find a product specifically for your face.
  2. 2 Dampen a towel (which adds an exfoliating effect) and apply the exfoliator to it. Rub in a circular motion, paying special attention to the T-Zone.
  3. 3 Rinse your face thoroughly and apply lotion.

Method 2 of 3: Steaming

  1. 1 There is no need to steam your face more than twice a week. Preheat water in a kettle on the stove top or in the microwave before the water boils.
  2. 2 You can also add fresh herbs to the water for a fresh scent. Try mint or rosemary.
  3. 3 Sit at a table with your face over a bowl and a towel on your head. Keep your face at a comfortable distance from the bowl, not too close to burn yourself, but not too far away for warmth. The steam should open your pores.
  4. 4 Once you're done steaming, wash your face with warm water and pat dry with a towel.

Method 3 of 3: Face mask

  1. 1 Definitely don't use a face mask more than a couple of times a week. It can absorb all of your skin's natural oils, which can cause your skin to produce more oil than normal. Spend some time in the store and choose a face mask designed for your skin type.
  2. 2 Apply the mask in a circular motion, massaging your face.
  3. 3 Let the mask dry completely before rinsing. Use a damp towel to make sure the entire mask is removed. Apply lotion when finished.

Tips

  • Clay Masks - Choose the best clay mask for your skin type. They are different, but they all give great results!
  • Add herbs to water while steaming.
  • Apply masks 20 minutes before showering, then rinse off under warm water. We also recommend not using face masks more than once a week!
  • Covering the pot around the perimeter as you steam your face will help trap the steam inside.
  • Do not use face masks that you are removing. They can irritate the skin and do not help to clear the pores at all.
  • Exfoliate once a week!
  • Several face mask ideas:

  • Yogurt and lemon (for oily skin) and honey (dry skin), for best results use both!
  • Banana and strawberry

Warnings

  • Be careful not to burn yourself with the steam from the water.
  • Don't put face masks too close to your eyes or mouth.
  • Don't use harsh scrubs on your face, leave them for your legs, knees, or elbows.
  • Be careful with products containing fruit acid, as this can be very bad for sensitive skin.
  • Don't overdo it with face masks, they can make your skin look oily instead of just the opposite.
