This wikiHow teaches you how to create a slideshow of photos or videos to share on TikTok using your Android, iPhone or iPad.
Steps
Method 1 of 3: Create video slideshows
Open TikTok on your phone or tablet. The app is black with pink, blue, and white musical note icons. You will find TikTok on your home screen, app drawer, or by searching.
Click on the mark + in the bottom center of the screen.
Click on the icon Upload (Upload) square in the lower right corner of the screen.
Click Multiple. This button is in the lower left corner of the screen with an icon of two overlapping rectangles.
Select a video to add to your slideshow. Tap the empty circle in the upper-right corner of each video thumbnail you want to add. Videos must be selected in the order in which you want them to appear in the slideshow.
Click next (Next) in the upper right corner of the screen.
Cut the video (optional). To adjust the length of any video, click Default, then click the thumbnail of the video on the screen and drag the red bars on either side of the clip to the desired length. You can repeat this with other clips that need editing.
- You can also trim the video clip to the beat of the music by pressing the Sound sync button.
Click next (Next). This red button is in the upper right corner. The clips are stitched together into an editable video slide show.
Add stickers and effects (optional), then tap next. You can use TikTok's tool to add some accents to the slideshow. Once done, click the red Next button in the lower right corner.
- Click the music note icon to change the song.
- Click the timer icon in the lower left corner to add transitions.
- Press the letter A to add the text.
- Click the icon of three multicolored circles to select a filter.
- Tap the smiley face with folded up angle to add stickers and emojis.
Choose your post preferences and tap Post (To post). If you want to add captions, customize who can watch the video, or turn comments on / off, you can do so here. Then just click the red Post button in the lower right corner of the screen to share the slideshow with everyone. advertisement
Method 2 of 3: Create photo slideshow according to template
Open TikTok on your phone or tablet. The app is black with pink, blue, and white musical note icons. You will find TikTok on your home screen, app drawer or by searching.
Click on the mark + in the bottom center of the screen.
Click the "Photo Templates" or "M / V" tab at the bottom of the screen.
Swipe to see the different patterns. If you find a template that you like, click on the "Select Photos" button.
Select pictures to add to the slideshow. Tap the empty circle in the upper-right corner of each photo thumbnail you want to add. Images must be selected in the order in which you want them to appear in the slideshow.
- In order to be able to use the template, the number of images selected must be within the range of the template.
Press the button OK in the upper right corner of the screen.
Add stickers and effects (optional), then tap next. You can use TikTok's tool to add some accents to the slideshow. Once done, click the red Next button in the lower right corner.
- Click the music note icon to change the song.

Method 3 of 3: Create a simple photo slideshow
Open TikTok on your phone or tablet. The app is black with pink, blue, and white musical note icons. You will find TikTok on your home screen, app drawer or by searching.
Click on the mark + in the bottom center of the screen.
Click on the icon Upload square in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Click Photo at the top of the screen. The selected photo will show a bar below.
Select pictures to add to the slideshow. Tap the empty circle in the upper-right corner of each photo thumbnail you want to add. Images must be selected in the order in which you want them to appear in the slideshow. You can add up to 12 photos.
Click next in the upper right corner of the screen.
Add stickers and effects (optional), then tap next. You can use TikTok's tool to add some accents to the slideshow. Once done, click the red Next button in the lower right corner.
- Click the music note icon to change the song.
- Click the icon of three multicolored circles to choose a photo and light filter.
- Click the Horizontal / Vertical button to change direction of the slideshow.
Choose your post customization option and tap Post. If you want to add captions, customize who can watch the video, or turn comments on / off, you can do so here. Then just click the red Post button in the bottom right corner of the screen to share the slideshow with everyone. advertisement
Advice
- If you want to combine both images and videos then you can use a photo / video editor, such as: Adobe Premiere, iMovie (Mac / iOS) or Story Remix (Windows).
