This article will show you how to download videos from a Telegram chat to an Android phone or tablet.
Steps
Method 1 of 2: Download a video
- Open the Telegram app on your Android device. The app is a blue circle with a white paper plane inside, usually displayed on the home screen or app tray.
Tap on the conversation containing the video.- Tap the arrow on the video. You should see a blue circle with a white down arrow. The video will be downloaded to the default location on the Android device. advertisement
Method 2 of 2: Set the automatic video download mode
Open the Telegram app on your Android device. The app is a blue circle with a white paper plane inside, usually displayed on the home screen or app tray.- Touch the icon ☰ in the upper left corner of the screen.
Touch the item Settings (Setting). This item is near the bottom of the menu.- Scroll down and touch the item Data and Storage (Data and storage) under the heading of “Settings”.
- Touch When connected on Wi-Fi (When connected to Wi-Fi). A list of options will be displayed.
- Check the box next to "Videos". This will set up videos in messages that are automatically downloaded to your phone or tablet whenever a Wi-Fi connection is available.
- Touch Save (Save). Changes will take effect immediately. advertisement
