This article will show you how to download videos from a Telegram chat to an Android phone or tablet.

Method 1 of 2: Download a video

1. 

   Open the Telegram app on your Android device. The app is a blue circle with a white paper plane inside, usually displayed on the home screen or app tray.

   Tap on the conversation containing the video.

3. 

   Tap the arrow on the video. You should see a blue circle with a white down arrow. The video will be downloaded to the default location on the Android device. advertisement

Method 2 of 2: Set the automatic video download mode

   Open the Telegram app on your Android device. The app is a blue circle with a white paper plane inside, usually displayed on the home screen or app tray.

   Touch the icon ☰ in the upper left corner of the screen.

   Touch the item Settings (Setting). This item is near the bottom of the menu.

4. 

   Scroll down and touch the item Data and Storage (Data and storage) under the heading of “Settings”.

5. 

   Touch When connected on Wi-Fi (When connected to Wi-Fi). A list of options will be displayed.

6. 

   Check the box next to "Videos". This will set up videos in messages that are automatically downloaded to your phone or tablet whenever a Wi-Fi connection is available.

7.
