By default, Siri will call the user by name. However, you can ask Siri to use a nickname or a name you add yourself. You can also fix the way that Siri pronounces names. Note: Siri doesn't have Vietnamese version yet, so you need to use English.

Steps

Part 1 of 2: Change the name that Siri calls you

1. 

   Set up personal contact information. Siri will call you by whatever name you put in your personal contact. You may not have set this up yet, but you can do so through the Settings app.
   • Open the Settings app and select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars" (Mail, Contacts, Calendar).
   • Scroll down and tap "My Info".
   • Choose your personal contact info, or create one if you don't already have one.

   Change your personal contacts to change the name Siri calls. By default, Siri will call you by the name located in the personal contact file. Changing personal contact information changes the way Siri calls you.
   • Open the Contacts app.
   • Select your personal contact and click "Edit".
   • Change the name you want Siri to call you.

   Ask Siri to call you by a nickname. You can ask Siri to call you by another name if you want.
   • Open Siri by pressing and holding the Home key.
   • Say "From now on, call me Name. "Siri will confirm your new name. This will change the" nickname "(nickname) entry in the personal contact.

Part 2 of 2: Edit Siri's pronunciation

   Open the Contacts app. If Siri mispronounced your name / other contact, you can change this.

2. 

   Tap the contact for which you want to correct the pronunciation. This can be anyone in the directory, including you.

   Click the "Edit" button. This allows you to change the contact's details.

   Scroll down and tap "add field". This allows you to choose a new field for the contact.

   Choose "Phonetic First Name" (Phonetic name) to change the pronunciation of a contact's name. You can also choose "Phonetic Middle Name" or "Phonetic Last Name" if you want to change the pronunciation of these elements.

   Enter a pronunciation spelling for the name. Entering a name this way will help Siri pronounce it correctly. For example, you could spell "Margot" as "Margoh." advertisement

Warning

• It's best to say "From now on ..." before asking Siri to call you by a specific name, otherwise, Siri may misunderstand it as a call to someone in your contacts list.
