Whether you are Irish or not, you can show off the spirit of St. Patrick's Day by drinking a very cold glass of Green Beer. There is a bit of a trick to achieve a bright green color and keep the beer quality good and foamy. When you get the hang of it, you'll happily say, "Drink!" before I know it.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Food coloring

1. 

   Choose a light colored beer. A bottle of pilsner, IPA or a light beer are all great options. You can also brew a darker green beer, but this requires so much food coloring that your teeth will turn green.

   Place 4-6 drops of food coloring on the bottom of beer. Use more if you want to brew a darker color beer.
   • Use liquid food coloring, not solid; it will make brewing beer much easier.
   • Don't use blue food coloring. You might think it will mix with the yellow of a beer to create a green, however since it is not a pure color you will end up with a color that is almost the same as blue.

   Pour beer into cups. The color of your food will blend with the amount of beer you pour in, dyeing your beer into a beautiful blue. Don't stir the beer, otherwise it will almost fade.

Method 2 of 2: Beerzicle

   Buy beer bottles made of clear glass.

2. 

   Buy a green clover Beerzicle. You can find this product online or at some alcohol-related stores.

3. 

   Refrigerate the Beerzicle if desired. This will cool your beer.

4. 

   Put the Beerzicle into the beer bottle. Now the beer bottle looks green. You are ready for chats at any of St. Patrichk's feasts! advertisement

• To make green beer in the beer barrel, you will need a color pump. You can ask the seller to green it for you.
