Make Fondant from Marshmallows

  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 900g of powdered sugar
  • 2 - 5 teaspoons of water
  • Synthetic color (optional)

Steps

Method 1 of 2: Fondant Traditional

  1. Prepare the gelatin. Soak the gelatin in a bowl of cold water and let it sit for two minutes. Microwave the bowl for 30 seconds on high until the gelatin dissolves.
  2. Add almond extract, corn syrup and glycerin. Add ingredients to the gelatin mixture and stir until smooth and clear. If the mixture is not smooth and thick, microwave it for another 15 to 20 seconds on high and stir again.

  3. Add sugar. Sift about 700g of powdered sugar into a bowl. Create a hole in the middle of the sugar bowl and pour the liquid mixture over it. Stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture is smooth and smooth. Then add food coloring.
  4. Prepare a clean surface for kneading. Sift of the remaining sugar onto a clean surface and any remaining ingredients can be added to the fondant mixture if needed.

  5. Kneading fondant. Knead the fondant over the spread surface and knead until it forms a soft, supple mass, adding sugar if necessary. Rub the margarine onto your hands and continue kneading the fondant.
  6. Fondant package into plastic bag. Place the fondant package in an airtight container to prevent the candy from drying out. The fondant will last for about six days if stored in the refrigerator. advertisement

Method 2 of 2: Make Fondant from Candies

  1. Wash your hands.
  2. Rub the butter over the entire table.
  3. Spread 2/3 of the powdered sugar over all the butter above.
  4. Pour the bag of marshmallows (marshmallows) into the mixing bowl.
  5. Add two tablespoons of water to the mixing bowl.
  6. Stirred.
  7. Microwave the bowl of water and marshmallows. Microwave the bowl for about 30 seconds, then remove and stir. Repeat the process until the marshmallows are completely melted.
  8. Rub butter into your hands.
  9. Pour the melted marshmallows onto the top of the sugar on the table.
  10. Mix the sugar and marshmallow by hand until it forms a lump. Add food coloring, if you like. The mixture will be quite sticky, so add the rest of the sugar and keep kneading it until the dough turns into a ball.
    • Rub the vegetable oil into your hands and countertops and continue kneading if the fondant dries.
    • If the fondant breaks easily, it's probably too dry, add 1/2 cup of water and continue kneading.
    • It takes about 8 minutes to knead so the fondant becomes soft, elastic, and stretches easily without cracking.
  11. Fondant package in clean plastic bag.
    • Place the fondant package in a sealed box. In this way, it will be refrigerated for up to two weeks.
