This is an article on how to make friends on a Steam account. If you have never paid for the minimum order of US $ 5 (about VND 120,000) or added this amount to your account, you cannot make friends.

Steps

Method 1 of 2: On mobile devices

1. 

   Open Steam. It's a dark blue logo with the Steam logo. If you are already logged into Steam, opening this app will take you to the page you visited earlier.
   • If you aren't logged in, enter your username and password, then select Log in (Log in).
   • If you have never paid at least US $ 5 (about VND 120,000) or added this amount to your Steam account, you cannot make friends.
   • After logging in, you will be asked to confirm your identity by entering the code sent to the email address you used to sign up for Steam. To do this, you need to go to the relevant email address, find the email sent from "Steam Support", open the email and enter the 5-character code shown below the line "Here is the Steam Guard code you need to login. to account: "(Here is the Steam Guard code you need to log into your account :).

   Touch ☰. This is the option shown in the upper left corner of the screen.

   Touch Friends (Friend). You will find this option on the left side of the screen.
   • Touch Chat (Chat) if you use Android.

   Open the search bar. To do this, you can either swipe down from the top of the screen (on the iPhone) or tap the magnifying glass icon in the top-right corner of the screen (on Android).

   Enter the name of a friend or group. As you type, you'll see multiple usernames show up in the section below the search bar.
   • On iPhone, you need to touch the card All Players (All players) below the search bar.
   • Android users will have to touch Search All Players (Search all players) below the search bar.

   Tap on the username of the person you are looking for. If you enter their username correctly, information will show up below the search bar as soon as you have entered it.
   • You'll have to tap their name twice on Android: once below the search bar and once on the next page.

   Touch Add Friend (Add friends). This is the button below their avatar. This will add them to your friend list on Steam, but you have to wait for them to accept the friend request. advertisement

Method 2 of 2: On the computer

1. 

   Visit the Steam site. You will access this page at http://store.steampowered.com/. Your Steam home page should be visible right on the screen.
   • If you have never paid at least US $ 5 (about VND 120,000) or added this amount to your Steam account, you cannot make friends.

2. 

   Place the mouse pointer at your username. If you're already logged into a Steam account on your computer, you'll see your username at the top of the page.
   • If you are not logged in, you need to first click login (Sign in) in the top-right corner of the page, then enter your Steam email address and password.

   Click FRIENDS (Friend). This is the menu option currently displayed under the username. This will take you to your friends list.

   Click + ADD FRIENDS (Add friends). This option is displayed on the right side of the page.

   Enter the name of a friend or group. As you type, you'll see multiple usernames show up in the section below the search bar.
   • You can also narrow your search by clicking Individuals (Personal) or Groups (Groups) below the search bar.

6. 

   Click ADD AS A FRIEND (Make friend). This is the option to the right of the username you choose. This will add them to your friends list.
   • You need to wait for the person to accept the friend request before their account is added to your friends list.
