How to cancel your Netflix account will depend on how you sign up for the account. If the account is registered on the Netflix website, you can cancel at Netflix.com on any computer, phone or tablet. If you chose to pay via iTunes, Google Play, or Amazon Prime, you'll have to cancel your account through the relevant service. Here is an article that shows you how to cancel your Netflix membership on different platforms.

Steps

Method 1 of 6: Cancel on Netflix.com

1. 

   on Android. You should see the app in the Android app drawer. If you have subscribed to Netflix on Android and paid through Google Play, please use this method to cancel the service.
   • If you do not use Android but pay the fee through Google Play, you will login https://play.google.com and go to step 3.

   (Settings) of iPhone or iPad. You will either have to find the app with the gear icon on the home screen or use a search engine. Only use this method if you pay Netflix fees through iTunes (usually when you sign up for an account on your iPhone, iPad, or Apple TV).

   Tap your name at the top of the screen.

   Tap on your Apple ID. It's the email address at the top of the screen. You will see a menu appear here.

   Touch View Apple ID (See Apple ID) on the menu. Depending on your security settings, you'll need to verify your identity before proceeding.

   Drag the scroll bar down and select Subscriptions (Registered Service) is near the middle of the page.

   Touch Service Netflix. Information about the service registration will be displayed here.
   • If you don't see Netflix in the list of registered services, you may have signed up for an account through Netflix.com or another service. Or, you used another Google account to sign up.

   Touch Cancel subscription (Service Cancellation) at the bottom of the page. The screen will display a confirmation message.

    Touch Confirm (Confirm). Your Netflix service will continue to be valid until the last day of the current billing period. From now on, your account will no longer be charged. advertisement

Method 4 of 6: Cancel via iTunes on computer

1. 

   Open iTunes on your computer. If you have subscribed to Netflix on an Apple device and paid service fees via iTunes, please use this method to cancel the service through iTunes.
   • If you have a Mac, iTunes is an app with the music note icon displayed in the Dock. On Windows computers, iTunes is usually found in the Start menu. If you don't have iTunes installed, download it for free from https://www.apple.com/itunes.
   • Make sure you're using the Apple ID that was used to subscribe to Netflix. To login you will click on the menu Account (Account) and select Sign In (Log in).

   Click the menu Account. It's the menu at the top of the Mac screen and above the iTunes app open on a Windows computer.

   Click View My Account (See my account) on the menu.

   Scroll down and click Manage (Management) next to "Subscriptions". You should see a list of all the services that are registered with your Apple ID.
   • If you don't see Netflix in the list of registered services, you may have signed up for an account through Netflix.com or another service. Or, you used another Google account to sign up.

   Click Edit (Edit) next to "Netflix". Information about the service registration will be displayed here.

   Click Cancel Subscription (Unsubscribe from service) at the bottom of the page. The screen will display a confirmation message.

7. 

   Click Confirm (Confirm). Your Netflix service will continue to be valid until the last day of the current billing period. From now on, your account will no longer be charged. advertisement

Method 5 of 6: Cancel on Apple TV

1. 

   Choose Settings (Settings) on the main Apple TV screen. Use this method only if you are signed in to Netflix on an Apple TV (or other Apple device) and pay for the service through iTunes.

   Choose Accounts (Account).

3. 

   Choose Manage Subscriptions (Manage registered services). That is the option under the "Subscriptions" heading.

   Choose a Netflix service. Information on service registration will be displayed here.
   • If you don't see Netflix in the list of registered services, you may have signed up for an account through Netflix.com or another service. Or, you used another Google account to sign up.

5. 

   Choose Cancel subscription (Cancel service registration). A confirmation message will appear.

   Follow the instructions on the screen to confirm. Your Netflix service will continue to be valid until the last day of the current billing period. From now on, your account will no longer be charged. advertisement

Method 6 of 6: Cancel on Amazon Prime

1. 

   Access https://www.amazon.com. Use this method only if you've added a Netflix channel to your Amazon Prime account.
   • If you're not signed in to your Amazon account, click Sign In (Login) in the upper right corner to login now.

   Click Account & Lists (Accounts and Lists). It's the option in the upper-right corner of the page. You will see a menu appear here.

3. 

   Click Memberships & Subscriptions (Membership and Registered Services). This is the option that appears below the "Your Account" heading on the right side of the menu.

   Click Channel Subscriptions (Subscription channel) is in the lower left corner of the page. The phrase "Prime Video" appears above this option. Here's a complete list of the services you've subscribed to through Amazon Prime.

5. 

   Click Cancel Channel (Cancel channel) next to "Netflix". You will find this option below the "Your Channels" heading at the bottom of the page. The screen will display a confirmation message.
   • If you don't see Netflix in the list of registered services, you may have signed up for an account through Netflix.com or another service. Or, you used another Google account to sign up.

6. 

   Click the button Cancel Channel (Cancel channel) to confirm. Your Netflix service will continue to be valid until the last day of the current billing period. From now on, your account will no longer be charged. advertisement

Advice

• Cancel your account at least one week before the billing period ends to avoid being charged the next month.
• You must pay all rented DVDs via Netflix to avoid additional charges after canceling your account.
