Now connecting two people who are not friends on Facebook becomes a little more complicated because Facebook no longer features "Suggest Friends" (Suggest Friends). This article will guide you through a few simple ways to help two people on your friends list connect with each other. You can use your computer, phone or tablet to do this.

Method 1 of 4: Send a link to your profile page by phone or tablet

1. 

   Open the Facebook app on your phone or tablet. This app has a blue icon with a white "f" inside and usually shows up on the home screen or in the app tray if you have an Android device.

   Open the profile of one of your friends. You can find your friend by tapping the magnifying glass icon near the top right corner of the screen.

   Tap the white and blue Friend icon. This icon is to the right of the "Message" button, depicting a person's image from shoulder to shoulder.

   Touch options Copy Link (Copy link). This option is located under "(Username) 's Profile Link" (Link to (Username)' s profile page). This will copy the link to the clipboard.
   • You will probably need to choose OK to continue.

   Visit the other friend's profile. You can now send a link to the first friend's profile copied to the other with a new Facebook message.
   • If you want to send a link to your profile by email or another messaging application, you can paste the copied URL into the message by touching and holding the text input area and selecting Paste (Paste).

   Touch the button Message (Message) blue. This button is below the username at the top of the profile. A new message will open in the Messenger app.
   • If you don't have the Messenger app installed, follow the instructions shown on the screen. You will need this app to send messages on Facebook using your phone or tablet.

   Touch and hold the text input area at the end of the message. You will see a menu appear.

   Touch options Paste (Paste) in the menu. This will paste the link to your friend's profile you saved in the message.

   Touch the Send button. This button may appear as a paper plane or an arrow, depending on the device and version of the application you use. When the message is sent, the link you paste in becomes an accessible link in the conversation. Method 2 of 4: Submit a link to your personal page using a computer

1. 

   Visit the page https://www.facebook.com from the browser. One of the simplest ways to help two friends connect on Facebook is to send them a link to the other person's profile. After you copy the link to your profile, you can paste it in a new message (on Facebook, email or other messaging apps).
   • You will need to log into Facebook if you haven't logged in before.

   • Usually you can highlight this address by clicking once in the address bar. If that doesn't work, click in the address bar then tap Ctrl+A (On the computer) or ⌘ Cmd+A to copy the link to the clipboard.

   Press Ctrl+C (PC) or ⌘ Cmd+C (Mac) to copy a link to a personal page to the clipboard.

   Visit the other friend's profile. You can now send a link to the first friend's profile copied to the other with a new Facebook message.
   • If you want to send a link to your profile by email or another messaging application, you can paste the copied URL into the message by right-clicking in the text input area and selecting Paste (Paste).

   Click the button Message (Message). This button is in line with the other options to the right of the username on the cover image. This will open a new message in the lower right corner of the Facebook page.

   Right click in the text input area and select Paste (Paste). The text input area is the field with the words "Type a message" at the end of the message. This will paste the URL you copied into the text input area.

   Press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return to send. This will send the recipient a clickable link. The recipient can now click on the link and view the profile of the person you suggested they be friends with.
   • If a recipient wants to make friends after viewing the suggested person's profile, they can click the option Add Friend (Add friends) to the right of the username.

Method 3 of 4: Create a group chat on phone or tablet

1. 

   Open Facebook Messenger on your phone or tablet. The icon is a blue and white conversation bubble with a lightning bolt inside, usually displayed on the home screen or in the app tray.
   • If you don't have Facebook Messenger yet, you'll need to install it from the App Store (iPhone / iPad) or Play Store (Android).

2. 

   Tap on the new message icon. This icon has a pencil (and a piece of paper if you have an iPhone or iPad) in the upper right corner of the Messenger app.

   Choose two people you want to introduce. You can scroll down and tap their names in the friends list, or use the "Search" bar at the top of the screen. Make sure to select only the two people you want to introduce to each other. This will add both of them to the "To" field at the top of the message.

   Write a message to introduce them. You will touch a blank text input area at the end of the message to start writing.
   • You might write, "Let's get to know each other!"

   Touch the Send button. This button looks like a paper airplane or an arrow, depending on the device and version of the application you use. A group chat will be created and all messages from you (or your two friends) will be sent to everyone in the group.

   Leave the conversation (optional). If you don't want to join the conversation between your two friends, you can leave the group yourself. Method 4 of 4: Create group chats on desktop

1.
